We are thrilled to announce the establishment of SWASH (School Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) Clubs at twelve schools in Iringa Municipal! This initiative marks a significant step forward in promoting hygiene and sanitation among students. Throughout this month, we have conducted sessions reaching 619 students, raising awareness about the importance of good hygiene practices.
The participating schools include seven secondary schools: Miyomboni, Ipogolo, Mivinjeni, Mkwawa, and Kreluu, and five primary schools: Saba Saba, Kigonzile, Mtwivila, Igumbilo, Kibwabwa, Igeleke, and Ukombozi.
This collaborative effort is focused on instilling lifelong habits and fostering a culture of cleanliness. By targeting multiple schools, we aim to maximize our impact and provide young individuals with essential education on sanitation and hygiene practices.
The SWASH Clubs are designed to empower students with the knowledge and skills they need to maintain good hygiene, both at school and at home. Through engaging activities and interactive sessions, we are helping students understand the critical role that proper sanitation plays in their health and well-being.

We believe that by educating and involving young people in these practices, we can create a ripple effect that extends beyond the school environment and into the broader community. The establishment of SWASH Clubs is just one of the many ways Afyaplus is committed to improving health and sanitation standards in our communities.
We are excited about the positive changes these clubs will bring and look forward to seeing the long-term benefits for the students and their families. Thank you to everyone involved for their support and dedication to this important initiative. Together, we are making a difference, one school at a time.
