Suzan Yumbe is a passionate Health Officer with a six-year track record of success in the Clean Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector. After working as a health officer at Mwanza City Council for two years, Suzan founded AFYAPLUS in 2017, an organization that focuses on promoting girls’ and young women’s health by educating them on water sanitation, hygiene interventions, and economic empowerment. She strongly believes that access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene awareness is crucial to prevent WASH-related diseases, reduce government expenditure on treating preventable diseases, and improve girls’ and women’s attendance in schools and economic developments. Suzan’s contributions to the sector have earned her national and international recognition, including being awarded the Innovator of the Year 2018 of the SADC region and the impactful Leadership certificate by YALI. In 2019, she was also recognized as one of Tanzania’s SHE HEROEs by The Launch Pad organization and voted as 2019 most influential young Tanzanian in Leadership and Civil Society by Advance Media Africa.

With extensive experience as an Environmental Health Officer at Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute (MOI), Mr. Nchimbi focuses on Environmental Health and Management, ensuring public health protection in healthcare settings. Currently, he is also working with the Ministry of Health (MoH) as a National Facilitator in introducing and implementing Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Facility Improvement Tool (WASH FIT) in healthcare facilities as a tool for improving WASH services and ensuring attainment of Sustainable Development Goals especially goal 6 by 2030. Previously, he served at Kinondoni Municipal Council, specializing in Immunization and Vaccination Development (IVD), where he coordinated immunization and vaccination programs to prevent Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPDs). Mr. Nchimbi also worked as an Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response Officer (IDSR), pioneering and rolling out new electronic systems for integrated disease surveillance and response in Tanzania Mainland as a National Facilitator. Additionally, he has served as an Assistant Environmental Health Officer and volunteered as a secondary school teacher, teaching Biology and Chemistry at Temboni Government Secondary School.

Complemented by her academic background in International Peace Studies and Project Management, she is dedicated to ethical leadership, mentorship, and positive change. Recognized for her excellence, Cikay has orchestrated turnarounds, led international development engagements, and innovated digital strategies. Fluent in English, Swahili, and Luganda, she is committed to advancing global communication and empowering female leaders.

With over 20 years of experience in international relations and diplomacy, peace and security, governance and development, and water, sanitation, and hygiene, Severine Allute has developed a broad professional competency and proven experience in various areas, including Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene inclusion policy and governance and WASH Commercialization Outcomes. Severine serves as the Tanzania Menstrual Health and Hygiene Coalition Secretariat Lead and the Sanitation and Water for All -SWA and Southern Africa Peoples Solidarity Network (SAPSN) Country Focal Point. He is also a director for the Africa Diaspora Foundation and one of the founders of the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies (IPCS). As a Policy and Sector Engagement Consultant, he leads, coordinates and manages research, policy advocacy, and sector engagement for the WASH Sector in Tanzania to achieve the SDGs 2030 targets. Throughout his career, Severine has provided high-end capacity development and executive support advisory work to public, private, and not-for-profit entities and establishments within and beyond the African continent. He is committed to positively impacting his field and contributing to achieving the SDGs 2030 targets.

Godfrida Magubo is an International Development and Communications professional specializing in SDGs, wellness, and women & girls empowerment. With a passion for sustainable development, she collaborates with governments, NGOs, and donors to create a better world where no one is left behind. As a leader, Godfrida excels in nurturing strategic connections and driving positive change. She values teamwork, embraces lifelong learning, and demonstrates leadership, agility, and creativity. Experienced in organizational visibility, promotion, and public/media relations, Godfrida is tech-savvy and adept at strategy and purpose-driven initiatives. She is skilled in capacity building, moderating, facilitating, and training. Her special interests include International Relations and Development, Women and Girls Empowerment, Climate Action, and Wellness.

Samweli Sudi is an expert in climate change and climate finance, boasting 8 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing climate change adaptation and mitigation projects. He has a proven track record in supporting institutions through the accreditation process for the Adaptation Fund and Green Climate Fund. With a deep understanding of climate finance architecture, international climate policy, and green growth development pathways, he excels in international development cooperation frameworks. Samweli possesses strong skills in environment and resources management, applicable in planning, implementing, and evaluating development-related interventions. He is adept at designing and delivering capacity-building measures for both state and non-state actors. With IT, research, and analytical skills, he prepares and disseminates knowledge products.
