Edwin Kigozi
Edwin Kigozi is a graduate nurse, a leader, researcher, and climate–health specialist with over six years of experience supporting health systems and community-based programmes across East Africa. With a strong foundation in nursing and advanced training in climate change and planetary health, his work sits at the intersection of community health, research, and sustainable development. Throughout his career, he has contributed to patient-centred care, health systems leadership, research implementation, and mentorship of young health professionals. He has supported the development of concept notes and grant proposals, donor engagement, project implementation, and stakeholder engagement for initiatives focused on community health, and climate-sensitive health risks.
As a Resource Mobilization Officer at Afyaplus, he works to identify strategic funding opportunities, build partnerships, and develop compelling proposals that advance community-driven health and social systems strengthening programmes. He is passionate about equitable resource mobilisation, youth leadership, and strengthening resilient health systems that respond effectively to both local and global health challenges.
