This week, a team from Afyaplus, led by Project Manager Mr. Faraja Kulanga, alongside Project Officers, held a crucial meeting with key leaders from Dodoma City Council. The discussions brought together representatives from the Education, Health, Planning, Community Development, and Social Welfare departments, as well as officials from TAMISEMI.
Introducing the Safe Menstruation Lab Project
The primary goal of the meeting was to introduce the Safe Menstruation Lab Project, which Afyaplus plans to implement in three councils within Dodoma Region: Dodoma City, Chemba, and Bahi.
Through this project, Afyaplus aims to: ✅ Establish 10 Safe Menstruation Labs in schools ✅ Provide menstrual health and reproductive education in 20 schools across the selected councils
This initiative is a vital step toward ensuring that young girls have access to safe and hygienic menstrual management in schools, allowing them to learn with dignity and confidence.
Gratitude for Strong Partnerships
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Dodoma regional leaders for their unwavering support and recognition of the importance of improving menstrual health for schoolgirls. Their collaboration is instrumental in making this project a reality.
Together, we are building a future where every girl can thrive in a safe, supportive, and informed learning environment. Stay tuned for more updates as we roll out this impactful initiative!
